Choosing materials that make time an ally.
The first thing the homeowners told us was that a space too pristine, like something brand-new, would not suit them. A home that gains character the more time passes — that was the theme we pursued here.
We clad the ceiling in reclaimed wood and finished the walls with hand-applied plaster. In the kitchen, deep-toned mosaic tiles are used generously, and indirect lighting set into the hallway lets beautiful shadows emerge at night. For the restroom, we chose a traditional British wallpaper, giving even the smallest space a story of its own.
Not newness, but depth. A home that grows more beloved ten, twenty years on. Into every material, we have woven the intent to be carried forward.
